D. Scott Allen - Author

After years of helping tell other people’s stories through voiceover and audiobook work, I’ve decided to begin telling my own. Writing has always been a personal outlet, with short stories developed over time, but never shared widely. This marks my first step into publishing. My background in narration has shaped how I approach storytelling, with a focus on voice, rhythm, and character. This transition feels like a natural extension of the work I’ve been doing for years, now expressed in my own words.

My first book, The Aerie Protocol, is available now.

The Aerie Protocol is a science-fiction thriller about a hidden city in the clouds, an engineered storm that should not exist, and an investigative photographer pulled into a secret world where survival depends on silence.
Marcus “Mac” Allen has spent his career chasing evidence, not myths. But when he uncovers signs of a manufactured supercell, his search for answers leads him far above the known world to the Aerie, a concealed city suspended within the violent currents of the upper atmosphere.
Built on ancient weather-harvesting technology and protected by generations of secrecy, the Aerie is beginning to fail. Its leaders are divided, its systems are unstable, and the forces that once protected it may now threaten the world below.
As Mac works with analyst Sarah Chen, Chief Engineer Elara Vance, and Guardian Kaelen, he must decide whether exposing the truth will save lives or destroy the only people who understand the danger. Blending hidden-world discovery, atmospheric suspense, engineered weather, and moral consequence, The Aerie Protocol explores the cost of secrecy when the sky itself becomes a weapon.
